(tax deductions #3 & #4 respectively) are both making significant progress in scouting. Our ward troop-
"THE TRIPLE NICKEL"
held the Spring Court of Honor tonight. It was well attended and a majority of the scouts accomplished much since the fall court of honor. The troop is really supported by the ward. In every program there seems to be 3 and sometimes 4 committed adult leaders. Despite the usual silliness and "Boy Smell" our young men are all fairly motivated self-starters.
Hyrum received all of his ranks up through First Class. He has partially completed three merit badges toward the rank of Star Scout. He has indicated that he wants to complete the advancement to Eagle Scout by his 14th birthday.
John received the Rank of Life, The World Conservation Award, and a couple of required merit badges necessary for the Rank of Eagle. He has a great service project planned, and should complete the Eagle Trail by late July.
I must publicly repent for not hosting Stephen's Eagle Court of Honor. He completed the work three months ago, and his Eagle award package is gathering dust on my office shelf. I am considering an early morning Dutch Oven Breakfast Setting for his C.O.H. Now, if we could get a weekend without snow maybe we could pull it off.
