Where does the puppy sleep?
I told Don in the middle of the night I would blog about this. I got our downstairs bathroom all ready for the puppy to sleep in. I asked Don to put him in there when he went to bed. So much later Don comes to bed and says he put the puppy in the bathroom and he was whinning. So I tried to explain to Don that it should take 3 nights and then he will be fine. Don could hear him because the bathroom is right under our room. It was driving Don nuts. I made the mistake of telling Don about me putting Hawkeye in the bathroom while I showered and how glad he was to be held and he kept doing that little hickup thing. Don couldnt stand it another minute and went and got the puppy. So then I was whinning and complaining. What to do.
I would say that Hawkeye has Don wrapped around his little paw. I do have to mention that when our kiddos were little it didnt seem to bother him when they were in their beds crying. UGH!!!!!

new puppy???
Well we got a puppy this weekend. We have been wanting to get a dog for a while just havent been able to decide what kind and etc..... So lets say I will be glad when the new wears off. They all want to hold him. And picking one out of six was a major undertaking.
Hawkeye is his name. It is after the MASH charcter on tv. MASH is our family favorite. I thought I would take a couple of pitures but the kids went crazy. I guess you can never have enough pictures. We did lose him last night and there he was curled up in a ball on the couch. I am glad no one sat on him. Also Johnny took him to bed and about one am he comes in our room whinning. He wanted to sleep with don. I am going to have to put a stop to that right now. He doesnt take up a lot of room now but he will get bigger and there is only so much room in my bed. Clara was on our floor and woke up when the dog came in. She was very put out that we would let the dog sleep with us and not her.

3 and 4 Truckin' Along!
(tax deductions #3 & #4 respectively) are both making significant progress in scouting. Our ward troop-
"THE TRIPLE NICKEL"
held the Spring Court of Honor tonight. It was well attended and a majority of the scouts accomplished much since the fall court of honor. The troop is really supported by the ward. In every program there seems to be 3 and sometimes 4 committed adult leaders. Despite the usual silliness and "Boy Smell" our young men are all fairly motivated self-starters.
Hyrum received all of his ranks up through First Class. He has partially completed three merit badges toward the rank of Star Scout. He has indicated that he wants to complete the advancement to Eagle Scout by his 14th birthday.
John received the Rank of Life, The World Conservation Award, and a couple of required merit badges necessary for the Rank of Eagle. He has a great service project planned, and should complete the Eagle Trail by late July.
I must publicly repent for not hosting Stephen's Eagle Court of Honor. He completed the work three months ago, and his Eagle award package is gathering dust on my office shelf. I am considering an early morning Dutch Oven Breakfast Setting for his C.O.H. Now, if we could get a weekend without snow maybe we could pull it off.
